About Thorpe's Bakery
Thorpe's Bakery is a family run home bakery based in Burton Lazars, Melton Mowbray. Operated by husband and wife team Katie and Steve, we hold a 5 star food hygiene rating and pride ourselves on crafting handmade brownies, blondies, tiffins, flapjacks and other artisan bakes with care, consistency, and a personal touch.
Our Story
After years perfecting recipes, we launched in September 2022 with our first box of millionaire shortbreads. Since then, Thorpe’s Bakery has grown through word of mouth and glowing customer feedback, with many declaring our brownies and blondies the finest they’ve ever tasted. In 2023, we began supplying local coffee shops and farm shops, and in April 2024 we launched our website — opening the door for nationwide postal delivery.
